REDS TAKE SERIES FROM CUBS WITH WIN IN FINALE

Eugenio Suarez drove in two runs as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 4-2 Thursday night at the Great American Ballpark. The Cubs lost two of three in the series for the first time after having won or split 10 series. Reds starter Luis Castillo (5-1) was the winner while Cub starter Jose Quintana (4-3) was the loser. The Cub runs all came in the top of the first on a double by Willson Contreras. The game was delayed by rain for close to two hours in the sixth inning. Kris Bryant did extend his on base streak to 25 straight games with a walk in the first. The Cubs are in Washington Friday to begin a series with the Nationals.
