Public Hearing on Proposed SR 64 Pavement Replacement Project in Gibson County set for Next Week

   The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing next week on current design plans for a State Road 64 pavement replacement project in the town of Francisco in Gibson County. The hearing will get underway at 6:00 PM Central Standard Time in the Francisco Elementary School cafeteria on Wednesday, May 22nd.  The purpose of the public hearing is to offer all interested persons an opportunity to comment on current design plans for a State Road (SR) 64 pavement in Francisco.  The doors will be open at 5:30 p.m. in order to view displays and talk to the representatives prior to the start of the hearing.   Two-way traffic will be maintained for local traffic and smaller vehicles along SR 64 during construction; however, SR 64 will be closed to large truck traffic, requiring an official detour. The environmental document and preliminary plans are available for public viewing prior to the public hearing at the following locations at the INDOT Vincennes District officeat 3650 South US 41.
