CUBS WINNING STREAK ENDED BY MARLINS

Pedro Strop walked three batters in the top of the 9th inning and the Miami Marlins took advantage rallying for three runs to pull out a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs Monday night at Wrigley Field. The loss ended a seven game winning streak for the Cubs. They  had led 3-0 early behind Cole Hamels before faltering in the late innings. Strop (1-2) took the loss. Sergio Romo did give up a Kris Bryant homer in the bottom of the ninth but fanned Willson Conteras to end the game. Game two of the four game series is Tuesday night with Caleb Smith (2-0) pitching for Miami and Jon Lester (2-1) for the Cubs. The action can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. Central Time 7:30 p.m Eastern.
