CUBS ROLL CARDS IN SERIES FINALE

Kris Bryant hit his fourth career grandslam home run during a six run eighth inning Sunday night at Wrigley Field as the Chicago Cubs pounded the St Louis Cardinals 13-5  to sweep their three game series. The win was the 7th straight for the Cubs who passed the Redbirds for first place in the National League Central . Anthony Rizzo, Willson Conteras, and David Bote each drove in two runs in the rout. It was the Cubs first three game series sweep of the Cards since 2017. Jose Quintana picked up the win and Adam Wainwright took the loss. The Cubs are back in action at Wrigley Monday night when they play the first of four with the Miami Marlins. Sandy Alcantara (1-3) will pitch for the Marlins and Cole Hamels (3-0) will go for the Cubs.
