Chicago Cub starter Jon Lester and two relievers combined on a one hit shutout and Javier Baez homered and doubled in a six run top of the second inning as the Cubs beat the Seattle Mariners 11-0 to sweep the two game interleague series at Seattle. The Cubs handed Mariner starter Marco Gonzales his first loss of the season after 5 straight wins. The win was the 13th in the last 17 games for the Cubs. They are idle Thursday and return home to Wrigley Field Friday to begin a three game weekend series with the St Louis Cardinals.
