Former Illinois youth basketball coach Barry Wolfe, was denied a change in plea agreement Friday morning. Minus a successful appeal, Wolfe will have to serve 85 percent of his 60-year sentence in prison. Coles County Circuit Judge Brien O’Brien rejected both Wolfe’s claims of innocence and his allegation he was misled by his former defense attorney. Wolfe pleaded guilty to sexual assault or abuse charges last June and was sentenced to the maximum 60 years last August. Judge O’Brien at that time levied the maximum allowable sentence for each count. Wolfe was a girls basketball coach for the Central Illinois Storm, an AAU team. Authorities say Wolfe used his influence to commit crimes against at least two of his former players
