LADY SALUKIS WIN LAWRENCE COUNTY SOFTBALL BATTLE

The Red Hill lady Softball Salukis extended their winning streak to three in a row Thursday after beating the Lawrenceville Lady Indians 8-2 at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.  They scored 8 runs on 8 hits and made no errors in the win. The Lady Indians tallied 2 runs on 5 hits and an error. For Red Hill Grace Hahn had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Layne Sanders had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Kenna Dunkin had a hit and 2 RBI. Caitlyn Bowersock picked up the pitching win. The Lady Indians were led by Maize Organ with 2 hits while Elizabeth Steffey Drove in both runs with a hit. Abby Gartner took the loss. The Lady Salukis improve to 7-5 and are scheduled to play Mt Carmel Friday at home. The Lady Indians had a two game winning streak snapped and are 3-6 on the season.
