The Bridgeport City Council met in regular session Tuesday night. Mayor Michael Crask updated the City Council on repair work to be done at the water plant. Work is expected to be done tomorrow and Friday by Marshall Electric of Carmi including a system update and the installation of new radios. The water plant is expected to be back online next week. The City Council was also informed that $20,000 worth of new playground equipment has been purchased for Lanterman Park. $11,000 of that will be paid by the city, while the other $9,000 will be paid by the Lanterman Park district.
