STRUGGLING CUBS LOSE SIXTH STRAIGHT TO BREWERS

Ryan Braun and Eric Thames hit three-run homers and the Milwaukee Brewers hit five overall in a 13-10 win over the Chicago Cubs in game one of their three game series at Miller Park in Milwaukee. The win improved the National League Central Division leaders to 7-1. Jose Quintana (0-1) was hit hard by the Brewers giving up eight earned runs on eight hits and three walks.  Chase Anderson (1-0) picked the win in relief. Jason Heyward, Daniel Descalso, and Willson Contreras homered for the Cubs, who fall to 1-6 with their sixth straight defeat. Game two of the series is Saturday night with Cole Hamels (0-0) going for the Cubs and Corbin Burnes (0-0) for the Brewers. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 5:35 p.m. Central Time.
