CUBS DROP SERIES FINALE IN TEXAS

Joey Gallo scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 9th inning Sunday and the Texas Rangers beat the Chicago Cubs in a wild game 11-10. Gallo raced home from third when Pedro Strop’s pitch to Nomar Mazara bounced past catcher Willson Contreras. The win enabled the Rangers to take two of three in the season opening series in Arlington. The Cubs are 1-2 and have lost two in a row. They open up a three game set in Atlanta Monday against the Braves at Suntrust Park. Kyle Hendricks will pitch for the Cubs and Sean Newcomb will go for Atlanta.
