The boyfriend of a woman murdered in Clark County in 2014 is due in court for a preliminary hearing today. 24-year-old Connor W. Scott has been formally charged with two counts of first degree murder in the death of Kaylyn Whitaker. Whitaker was found dead in Scott’s home in Martinsville on October 31st in 2014. They were a couple at the time, and they were the only two people in the house. Initially the death appeared to be a suicide, but her death was ruled a homicide ten months later. Police say Scott walked into the police station in Danville, Indiana on Sunday, February 24th, and confessed to Whitaker’s death. Scott is being held in the Clark County, Ill. jail on one million dollars bond.
