Both Lawrence County wrestlers were eliminated from competition in their weight classes Friday at the Class 1A individual state finals at the State Farm Center in Champaign. Zeth Stallings went 1-2 in the 132 pound weight class. He lost by decision in opening round action Thursday but then won by a 14-4 major decision on Friday. He was later beaten by fall. Stallings finishes an outstanding season at 37-11. Nolan Tewell at 285 went 0-2 in his competition. He lost by decision in the opening round and was then knocked off by a 2-1 decision in the consolation round Friday. Tewell finishes his solid season with a record of 36-10.
