One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Clay County, Illinois early Saturday morning. Preliminary investigative details from the Illinois State Police indicate 37 year-old Michael Lewis of Yale drove off the left side of the Dieterich Blacktop just south of Clay County Road 900 North. Lewis struck an embankment, and then came to rest in the left ditch. Lewis was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville by air ambulance to be treated for his injuries. State Police say charges are pending further investigation.
