Most all township and selected county roads in Richland County have been posted with respective weight load limits due to the wet and warm weather conditions, making the roads susceptible to damage because of heavy loads. A 10 ton weight limit is now in effect for all Preston Township roads and a 5 ton weight limit is now in effect for all Olney Township roads until further notice. All roads affected by load limits are now marked with signs. Richland County residents wanting more information about the respective load limits on township and county roads can contact the respective Road Commissioner or the County Highway Department.
