Marian Lee Hovermale, age 93 of St. Francisville, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Vincennes, IN at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born November 13, 1925 in Lawrence County to Fred and Pearl (Bye) Kelley.
On October 19, 1946, Marian married Charles Hovermale. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2012.
Marian was an active long-time member of the Christian Church of St. Francisville, was a Sunday School teacher for numerous years, past President of the Women’s Club, past Regent of DAR, and worked in the office of Prestolite Battery for many years. She was a loving homemaker to her family and helped Charlie with his income tax service for years as well.
Survivors include: two sons- Mike Hovermale and wife Brenda of St. Francisville and Tom Hovermale and his wife Kim of St. Francisville: four grandchildren- Dustin Hovermale of St. Francisville, Jared Hovermale and wife Erica of Franklin, IN, Jordan Hovermale and wife Sara of Midland, TX, and Allyson Hovermale of Chicago: and 3 great-grandchildren- Natalie, Landon, and Nora.
She was preceded in death by: her parents- Fred and Pearl Kelley: her husband of 65 years- Charles Hovermale: and a twin sister in infancy- Mary Lou Kelley.
A funeral service for Marian Hovermale will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Christian Church of St. Francisville. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon. Burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
