INDIANS REMAIN ALIVE IN LIC TOURNAMENT

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians remained alive in the Little Illini Conference Tournament Tuesday night at Flora with a 69-62 win over the Paris Tigers in a consolation bracket game. After losing to Marshall in quarterfinal play Monday 59-42, the Tribe responded with a solid game. They led 16-9 after one quarter, 36-25 at the half, and 55-41 after three quarters enroute to their 10th win against 10 losses. Four Indians scored in double digits in a balanced attack. Cale Powell led the way with 18 points, Blayne Winningham added 14, Zeus Marsh 11, and Jordan Jones 10. With the win, the Indians are back in action Wednesday night in a consolation semi-final against the 6-14 Newton Eagles. You can catch the action at 6 p.m. on Lite 103.
