A former Knox County woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death in February of 2016 was sentenced to 30 years in prison Friday morning.  42 year-old Candice Charlton, formerly of Wheatland, plead guilty two weeks ago to a lesser charge of manslaughter as part of a plea deal struck with county prosecutor Dirk Carnahan. Officials say Charlton fatally stabbed 35-year-old Gerald Sturgeon at a home on Short Street in Wheatland back in 2016. Sturgeon died at the hospital after the attack.
