The Parkview 8th grade Basketball Braves fell short of their goal to win the LEIC 8th grade tournament. The Marshall Cubs upset them on their home floor Thursday night 42-39. The Braves were down 12-6 after one quarter but rallied to tie the contest at the half 19-19. The game was also even after three quarters before the visitors spurted out in front in the final period and then hit free throws down to stretch to notch the three point win. Parkview was led by Leyton Ivers with 17 points and Bryant Jenkins 14. Parkview ended the tournament at 12-7. The 8th grade consolation championship was won by Casey over Paris Mayo 57-30.
