The process has begun to replace the late Vincennes City Councilman Jim Westfall. Westfall passed away Christmas Eve in Indianapolis at the age of 72. Knox County Democratic party chairwoman Sandi Stewart says Vincennes’ Democratic delegates will meet in a caucus on January 21st to find a replacement. The position is open to anyone living in the city’s second district. Westfall’s successor will serve to the end of 2019, since City Council seats will be up for election next year.
