Three Sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court

   Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that three people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 25 year-old Cole A. Walls of Evansville was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of burglary. That will be followed by two years of mandatory supervised release. Walls is also required to pay court costs.

   29 year-old Christopher J. Melahn of Olney was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of retail theft. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Melahn is also required to pay court costs.

   27 year-old Justin M. Harms of Allendale was re-sentenced to one-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude.  Harms had previously been placed on one year of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for probation appointments. Harms’ prison sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release.  Harms is also required to pay fines as well as court costs.
