fire-2-3

Fire damaged a Lawrenceville residence for the second time in four days Tuesday night. Units of the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District were called to the 409 Locust Street residence owned by Lloyd Pond Saturday. The Saturday fire did an estimated $1,000 worth of damage to the residence. Officials say the cause of that fire was electrical in nature. Units of both the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District and Bridgeport Fire Protection District were then called back to 409 Locust Tuesday night when the residence caught on fire. The house was vacant at the time. There were no injuries reported. Tuesday night’s fire did an estimated $10,000 worth of damage to the residence. The Illinois State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the cause.
