(NETWORK INDIANA)  Saving a woman’s life is what an Indiana State trooper is credited with doing. It happened Saturday night at the Westpoint Toll Plaza in Hammond. That’s one mile east of the Illinois/Indiana border. Investigators say the woman was pinned between her SUV and a toll booth when police say she dropped her credit card and left the car in drive while trying to pick it up. State Trooper Ala’a Hamed had a bystander and a toll attendant hold on to the woman as he tried to move the car. He got her out of the Buick and eventually got her breathing again by using CPR and and a defibrillator. She was taken to a hospital in Hammond and later moved to another medical center in Illinois. She does have serious injuries, but is recovering. Police haven’t given out her name, but did say she was a 40-year-old woman from Otsego, Michigan.
