INDIANS WIN SECOND IN ROW DEFEATING FLORA

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians inched closer to .500 with a solid 78-51 win Friday night at home over the Flora Wolves. The Tribe broke open a close game with a dominant second quarter after leading 13-10 after the first. They extended the lead to 38-25 at the half and to 60-39 after three quarters enroute to their second win in a row. Four Indians scored in double figures in the victory-Zeus Marsh had 18, R.J Nelms added 17 and Jordan Jones and Noah Weger each netted 14 points. The Indian JV also won 63-58 behind Skyler Tewell with 18 and Cale Powell with 16. The Indians are now 3-4 and 1-1 in the Little Illini Conference while Flora falls to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Indians next see action Tuesday when they play the third game of a four game homestand against the Edwards County Lions.
