A Lawrenceville man was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Lawrence County Thursday night. Austin Maugh of Lawrenceville was driving north on Illinois Route 1 just north of Lawrenceville when he collided with the rear of a 2013 Chevy driven by Douglas Witt of Vincennes in a construction area near the US 50 on-ramp. The collision forced Maugh’s vehicle into some barrels and a parked bulldozer. Maugh was injured and taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Witt was not hurt. Maugh’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
