DEER HUNTING NUMBERS UP IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

Deer hunting numbers rose from 2017 to 2018 in Lawrence County during the firearm deer season. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources indicates that 644 deer were taken in Lawrence County during the seven day firearm season that concluded Sunday, December 2nd. That total is up from the 613 deer that were taken in 2017. Statewide, the IDNR says that 80,896 deer were taken by hunters in 2018 compared to 80,117 in 2017.
