BASKETBALL INDIANS ROLL OVER OBLONG

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians used pressure defense to force 31  turnovers enroute to a 82-42 non-conference win at home Tuesday night over the Oblong Panthers. The Tribe led 32-7 after one quarter and never looked back. They extended the lead to 51-20 at the half and led 77-34 after three quarters. Four players scored in double figures for the Indians-Zeus Marsh and Jordan Jones each had 18, Noah Weger had 14 and Connor O’Dell added 12. The Indian JV also won handily over Oblong 57-15 with Cale Powell scoring 21 and Skyler Tewell 10. With the win, the Indians are now 2-4 while Oblong remained winless at 0-5. The Indians jump back into Little Illini Conference play Friday at home against Flora.
