The Flora Lady Wolfgals overcame a four point fourth quarter deficit and rallied to beat the Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians at LHS Monday night 48-43. Flora led 11-10 after one quarter and 25-21 at the half. But a strong third quarter spurred by Jayley Akers of the Lady Indians gave the hosts a 35-31 lead entering the final stanza. But the visitors were able to take advantage of Lady Indian mistakes and hit free throws down the stretch to pick up the road win. Akers led the scoring for the Lady Indians with 16 points and Sydni Williams added 11 but it was not enough. The loss snapped a three game Lady Indian winning streak and dropped them to 6-4 while Flora improved to 3-6. Flora also won the JV contest 21-17. The Lady Indians are right back in action Tuesday as they travel to Oblong for non-conference play.
