Two reports from the Illinois Department of Public Health were recently released and both describe the United Methodist Village North Campus as being in compliance. The reports were dated September 19th and October 18th.  The Village came under fire back in June following reports that employees were not being paid. The Village was also $56,000 behind on its water bill at that time. A large payment had been made since then to get the facility back on track. There were also questions raised about employees’ health insurance and money being used from residents’ accounts to pay expenses. CEO Paula McKnight resigned in August. The United Methodist Village Board of Directors announced last month that the South Campus facility at 1616 Cedar Street in Lawrenceville would be closing effective December 31st, but all residents had been relocated in the last few weeks and the South Campus was no longer open.
