A Bridgeport man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning. Brian Rogers was driving west on Chestnut Street when he lost control and hit a city sign and utility pole. Rogers’ 2014 Dodge then came to rest on its passenger side in a ditch. Rogers was injured but refused medical treatment. Lawrence County authorities cited Rogers for driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
