A Linton man is facing a second, unrelated, charge of Attempted Murder for allegedly trying to kill another inmate at the Greene County Jail. According to court documents, Jared Turner violently twisted another inmate’s neck in the Greene County Jail. Turner was being held at the time on another Attempted Murder charge for allegedly shooting 24-year-old Todd Bennett of Linton in the head on October 3rd and leaving the scene. Jail staff said before the alleged attack, Turner also ran out of his cell two different times. Turner’s new charges are for attempted murder, battery, and attempted escape.
