The City of Vincennes, in conjunction with Republic Services, will offer large item pickup free of charge on two dates this month for its residents. The two dates for the collections are October 13th and October 20th. Collection times will be from 8 to 11:30 am eastern both Saturdays at the Republic Services location at 2706 North Second Street. Items that may be delivered to Republic include household furniture, mattresses, large toys, carpeting tied in three foot bundles, and non-CFC or HCFC appliances. Unacceptable items include refrigerators or air conditioners containing C-F-C or H-C-F-C’s, construction debris, building materials, tires, paint, liquid waste, electronics, and hazardous waste. Paint cans will be accepted if they have become solid waste. The collection is open to Vincennes residents only. Some form of photo I-D will be needed to prove you are a Vincennes City resident.
