Robinson High School Student Arrested for Making False Threat

arrest-14-15

Robinson Police have charged a high school student with Falsely Making a Terrorist Threat on social media. 18-year-old Derek Tye was arrested Thursday after police received a call from Oklahoma Police that they had been tipped off about a Snapchat user who made references to his desire to “shoot up a school” and “watch everyone suffer”. It was later determined that the post came from Robinson. Following an investigation by the Robinson Police Department’s School Resource Officer, Tye was taken into custody.
