The Chicago Cubs are back in the National League playoffs. They squandered a 6-1 lead late before Albert Almora Jr. provided a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to push past the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-6 in game three of their series at Wrigley Field Wednesday night. Jason Heyward had a two run homer and Javier Baez drove in his NL leading 111 run in the win. Starling Marte extended the game with a two run double in the top of the ninth against reliever Justin Wilson. With the win, the Cubs snapped a two game losing skid and stayed 1/2 game ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers who also clinch a playoff spot with a 2-1 win over the Cardinals in St Louis. The Cubs will wrap up the series Thursday night with Jon Lester (17-6) on the bump against Trevor Williams (14-9).
