The Knox County miner who died days after being injured in a mine accident in Sullivan County earlier this month has been identified. The miner has been identified as 60-year-old Robert Grostefon of Bicknell. Grostefon was a heavy equipment operator at the Bear Run Mine. On September 7th, Grostefon jumped from a large haul truck he was driving after it caught on fire. Grostefon was treated at the scene by mine rescue personnel and taken to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute where he died a few days later. The investigation into the cause of death continues.
