The Vincennes Board of Works met in regular session Monday. The Board of Works approved two contracts for repairs to the Shelter House at Gregg Park. One was a contract of $5,000 for the work of the Southern Indiana Development Commission. The other contract was to R-Q-A-W for architectural services on the project at a cost of $12,000. The board also approved the promotions of four City firemen. Richard Ashby was promoted from Captain-Training Officer to Battalion Chief. Fireman Adam Ray will replace Ashby as Captain-Training Officer. Brock Cardinal and Michael Carter will move from firemen to lieutenants.
