A Vincennes Catholic priest has been placed on administrative leave on suspicion of a decades-old case of sexual misconduct. The action came against Father David Fleck. According to the Evansville Catholic Diocese, the proper authorities have been notified. Father Fleck has denied the claim against him. Fleck is prohibited from all aspects of the public ministry while the investigation is pending. Fleck has served through many Catholic churches across southwest Indiana. His career included pastorates in Vincennes, Petersburg, and Montgomery; along with missions across southwest Indiana. Any victim of sexual misconduct by a person ministering on behalf of the Church, or anyone who knows of someone who has been a victim of such misconduct, is asked to contact civil authorities and the Diocesan Victim Assistance Coordinator at 812-490-9565 or toll-free at 866-200-3004.
