LADY SOFTBALL BRAVES CLOSE REGULAR SEASON WITH LOSS; BASEBALL BRAVES WIN

The Parkview Lady Softball Braves closed out the regular season Monday with a 10-6 home loss to Marshall at Phil Alsman Field. The visitors score their 10 runs on 14 hits and made 3 errors while the Lady Braves scored 6 runs on only 3 hits and committed 6 costly errors. Karleigh Shick took the pitching loss. The team finishes the season at 8-7 and will be in the Effingham Class AA Regional 16 tournament. Parkview is the 8th seed and will play Wednesday at top seeded Charleston in the first round at 4 p.m. Meanwhile the Parkview Baseball Braves won a thriller at Unit 20 Ballpark Monday as they rallied from behind to nip Marshall 5-4. The Braves are at home again Tuesday hosting Paris Crestwood at 4:30 p.m.
