The United Methodist Village’s Board of Directors formally accepted the resignation of Paula McKnight as CEO. In a letter released this week, the board thanked McKnight for her contributions to the Village including assisting the facility in achieving a five-star rating for three straight years. McKnight came under fire in June following reports that employees were not being paid. The Village was also $56,000 behind on its water bill. There were also questions raised about employees’ health insurance and money being used from residents’ accounts to pay expenses. The board indicated in the letter that a search for new leadership would begin immediately and that details of that process were forthcoming.
