The Lawrenceville-Red Hill Cross Country Indians hosted their first home meet Thursday at the Lawrenceville 3 mile City Park Course. The girls and boys teams both finished 2nd to Olney (Richland County) with Palestine-Hutsonville 3rd. In the girls race, Olney scored 21, the Lady Indians 34, and Pal-Hut had no team score. Leading the way for the Lady Indians was Katie Moore who won in a time of 21:26.78. Ophelia Klein was 6th in 22:53.25, Maya Wright 8th in 23:30.44, Emily Hyre 9th in 23:30.44, and Becky Warner 10th in 23:33.12. In the boys race, Olney scored 18, the Indians 42, and Pal-Hut 73. For the Indians Cole Sumner was 5th in 18:20.38, Brayden Green 7th in 18:24.12, and James Burk 10th in 18:59.31. Next action for the squad is Tuesday when they travel to Princeton Indiana for a triangular meet.
