United Methodist Village CEO Paula McKnight has reportedly resigned. That according to a letter which was sent out by an employee at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.   The letter stated McKnight resigned her position effective immediately. No other details were given in the letter.  The United Methodist Village board was scheduled to meet Tuesday but no details were given.  This comes after the United Methodist Village held two listening sessions with Bishop Frank Beard of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference last Thursday. Beard listened to concerns from employees, residents and their families, and concerned citizens. McKnight came under fire in June following reports that employees were not being paid. The Village was also $56,000 behind on its water bill. There were also questions raised about employees’ health insurance and money being used from residents’ accounts to pay expenses.
