INDIAN CROSS COUNTRY SEASON GETS UNDERWAY AT FAIRFIELD

Both the Lawrenceville Cross Country boys and girls opened their seasons Tuesday at the multi-team Fairfield Invitational at Leo French Park. The boys finished third in their competition with 81 points. Olney captured the meet with 17 points followed by Hamilton County in second with 62. Top ten finishers were Brayden Green 9th at 18:44 and Blaine Hesler 10th at 19:03. The girls were also third in their meet with 59 points. Olney won the girls race with 40 with Newton second at 57. Finishing in the top ten were Katie Moore 5th at 22:46, Maya Wright 7th at 23:25 and Ophelia Klein 10th at 23:48. Both teams will run next in a multi-team meet at Effingham St Anthony on Tuesday.
