Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that an Olney man was sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 26 year-old Zachary J. Pruitt of Olney was re-sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude. Pruitt had previously been placed on two years of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of his probation by refusing to comply with a drug screen request. Pruitt’s prison sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Pruitt is also required to pay fines as well as court costs.
