Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that two people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 58 year-old Cara Sanderson of Lawrenceville was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful delivery of a conrolled substance. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Sanderson is also required to pay a $500 mandatory drug assessment as well as court costs.
56 year-old John York of Sumner was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. York is also required to pay a $500 mandatory drug assessment as well as court costs.
