LADY SOFTBALL BRAVES DROP SEASON OPENER, MISS SALUKIS TO OPEN TUESDAY

The Parkview Lady Softball Braves opened their home and regular season Monday and took it on the chin. Paris Mayo blasted them 15-1 in six innings at Phil Alsman Field. The visitors scored 15 runs on 12 hits and made no errors while the hosts scored one run on only two hits and made three errors. Gracie Stallings and Madelyn Garza had the only Parkview hits on the day and Karleigh Shick took the pitching loss. The 0-1 Lady Braves are scheduled to play Tuesday at Newton, weather and field conditions permitting. Meanwhile, the Red Hill Junior High Miss Salukis are to make their season and home debut Tuesday afternoon hosting Clay City at Leigh Ann Westall Field in Bridgeport, weather and field conditions permitting.
