Anthony Rizzo ended a 25 game homerless streak by blasting a walk-off shot in the bottom of the ninth Thursday to complete a Chicago Cubs’ rally in a 7-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field. His 13th homer of the season came two pitches after David Bote tied the game with a two-run clout. The Cubs had trailed 6-1 earlier in the game. The win keeps them 2 1/2 games ahead of Milwaukee in the National League Central Division. The team did place third baseman Kris Bryant back on the disabled list with his recurring left shoulder injury. The Cubs will be in St Louis Friday night to open up a three game series with the Cardinals. Pitching pairing has Mike Montgomery (3-3) going for the Cubs against Luke Weaver (5-9) for the Redbirds. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 6:40 p.m. Central Time 7:40 Eastern.
