Victor Caratini hit an RBI double in the top of the seventh inning helping the Chicago Cubs and Jose Quintana to a 2-0 win over the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night at AT and T Park. Quintana was outstanding in the win going six scoreless innings and allowing only three hits in picking up his eighth win of the season. Derek Holland took the loss for San Francisco. The Cub bullpen pitched the final three scoreless innings with Steve Cishek closing it out for his third save. The Cubs will look to win the series in the rubber game Wednesday afternoon. The pitching pairing has Mike Montgomery (3-3) going for the Cubs and Johnny Cueto (3-1) going for the Giants. Cueto was pushed back by Giants manager Bruce Bochy to allow for additional rest. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 2:10 p.m. Central Time 3:10 Eastern.
