Pablo Sandoval singled home the winning run with 1 out in the bottom of the 11th inning to send the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 win over the Chicago Cubs Monday night at AT and T Park. The hit came with the bases loaded after two singles and an intentional walk. Steve Cishek took the loss in relief for the Cubs and Ty Blach won in relief for the Giants. Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks was outstanding going into the ninth inning and allowing one unearned run and striking out eight. Game two of the three game series is Tuesday night with Jose Quintana (7-6) going for the Cubs and Johnny Cueto (3-1) pitching for the Giants.
