ANOTHER LATE RALLY GIVES CUBS WIN OVER REDS

The Chicago Cubs pulled out a 6-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field in the final game of their three game series. The winning run scored on David Bote’s bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning. It was the ninth comeback win for the Cubs on the season and their eighth win in the last nine games. Addison Russell drove in three runs and Javier Baez drove in two in the win. The Cubs won the last two of the series. They are in San Francisco Monday night to open a three game set against the Giants at AT and T Park. The pitching pairing has Kyle Hendricks (5-8) going for the Cubs and Andrew Suarez (3-5) for the Giants. An added note-three Cubs were selected to the National League All-star team announced Sunday. Catcher Willson Conteras and second baseman Javier Baez were voted starters on the infield and pitcher Jon Lester picked for the pitching staff.
