A Jasper woman was arrested early Sunday in Princeton on drug-related allegations and on an active warrant out of Dubois County.  A Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a 2000 Dodge Stratus Sunday morning on Princeton’s Brumfield Avenue after observing the car traveling left of center. A passenger, 20 year-old Cassidy E. Engleman of Jasper, reportedly began acting erratically and would not cooperate with the deputy’s investigation. Engleman reportedly gave a false name. Once she was identified, police learned she was wanted in Dubois County for failing to appear in Dubois Superior Court in 2017 when she was charged with a Level 5 felony count of trafficking with an inmate, a Level 6 felony count of methamphetamine possession and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a synthetic drug or lookalike and possession of paraphernalia. Authorities say Engleman is being charged in Gibson County with Level 6 felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle, plus misdemeanor counts of false identity statement, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia (prior). Engleman was taken to the Gibson County Jail before being extradited to Dubois County.
