Disciplinary charges have been filed against a Knox County Superior Court judge. Judge Ryan Johanningsmeier, who runs Knox County Superior Court 2, faces three counts of misconduct. The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications says the judge failed to recuse himself from a case involving one of his good friends. He has 20 days to file an answer to the charges. On the Knox County Superior Court 2 Facebook page it is reported that the Commission and Judge Johanningsmeier have reached a conditional agreement, pending Supreme Court approval that will result in a public reprimand.
